Last week I
revealed a priceless artefact – the Dictionary of Airthai Languages. This week
the first part of the dictionary is available by clicking here, as well as by opening the Dictionary and
Glossary tab at the top of the blog.
The words
and phrases are listed alphabetically, with both English and Afrikaans
translations given for the words in the Airthai languages. For instance; the word
khalla has both “servant” and “dienaar” listed
as meaning, but both “dienaar” and “servant” are also listed separately, with
the translation “khalla”.
Although
only a rudimentary reference page for now, I hope to build it into a proper
dictionary and glossary of Airthai; listing place names, characters, etc. in
due time.
Now I must just find those blog elves…
